This was a flower potluck. Everyone came with a handful of flowers that we all shared to make some spring arrangements with. We then had a beautiful dinner provided by the rose establishment. Print in cursive provided us with some beautiful letterpress menus, and Leo Patrone photographed the event for us.

I absolutely loved filling the space with happy people who wanted to enjoy each others company and learn about flowers. It was so much fun to share flowers and see what everyone created. Attendees were encouraged to give their arrangements away to a friend as a May Day gift. I loved sharing the evening with everyone, and I can't wait to host another event in December.

And- We are now renting out our space out for small workshops or events. It is located right downtown in Salt lake City, across from Pioneer Park. We have 1500 sq. feet of usable space with lots of windows and a glass garage door that you can open. For this event we had 25 guests with plenty of space for them to create flower arrangements and eat. Please inquire to flowers@sarahwinward.com if you are interested in using the space.

I'm usually a go big or go home type of person when it comes to bouquets...but I made this little posy at the jen huang workshop and I think I am converted. 
These delicate spring blooms could get lost in a huge bouquet, but I think a little handful of them are perfect for a simple bride. 
This was actually an engagement session, and I thought it was appropriate and sweet for that too.

I feel so lucky to have been able to do the flowers for the Jen Huang workshop this March in Sant Barbara. Jen is an incredibly talented and kind woman, and it was such an honor to work with her. She brought several people together to style content for the attendees to shoot. Her inspiration was dutch masterpiece paintings, and she infused sunny california by incorporating  citrus. (Most of which came from Jen's own trees)
