Oh, Dunton Hot Springs.
Visiting and/or working at Dunton Hot Springs has been on my to do list for about four years, and I was so lucky to be able to do the flowers for Kate & Adam’s sweet wedding there this May.
This resort is tucked back into the most beautiful, quiet mountains. Guests and the couple seemed to be floating around the property in absolute heaven. The groom was talking about how excited he was for everything and said ” We loved this place before, but now it is filled with 45 of our favorite people”, and I thought, hey! thats just how a wedding should be! Quaint, with your closest family and friends, and in a peaceful, outdoor setting. I think they’ve got this whole wedding thing figured out, congratulations Adam and Kate!
Guests stayed in little luxury cabins on the property right where the wedding took place. I even saw some guests fishing in the river on site just minutes before the ceremony. Everyone ate each meal together during their stay in the main hall (which is the old mining town saloon that has been transformed into part of the resort along with the whole village).
Casual, but truly luxurious travel at it’s finest.
Jolene planned the most simple & beautiful event for Kate & Adam. They didn’t want a lot of fuss, and weren’t even into anything flower-y, but somehow we talked them into letting me do the flowers. So we went wild with greenery, vines, textural stuff, and a few flowers with lots of petals, for good measure 🙂
