Dunton Hot Springs
Lora and Colin wanted a wedding that felt different than most. I was entrusted to execute their vision and design the event that felt like a reflection of them.
A weekend with their friends and family that left them feeling inspired and full of wonder.
The design elements we created throughout the weekend were created based on some of their favorite art pieces, or were meant to represent the many emotions experienced in life and love. The ceremony structure was woven out of thousands of willow sticks, to create a ‘portal’ for them for to share their vows in. The aisle was meant to feel wild and fleeting. The full flower heads lining the aisle walkway were tromped through, representing walking towards love with reckless abandonment.
A little meadow pocket square for Colin. A delicate blue forget me not bouquet for Lora. A floating installation above the tables in the dinner tent inspired by Cy Twombly paintings. Scribbly vines and drippy blue blooms dancing down the tables.
As a memento mori to represent the fragility that is life and love-dragonflies and moths dotted the tablescape.
